Sharing Good Food
|
Since 2009, we've provided a welcoming place with good food options for those in northern Olmsted County. Like a small grocery store, we hope that everyone would feel comfortable finding the items they might need for pantry and fridge. Or to come and shop for someone who is unable to (known as proxy). There are a variety of foods. We usually have choices for fresh produce, meat, bread, dairy, and shelf-stable foods. Diapers, books, and hygiene items are also an option when available. And, don't worry, we have plenty to share.
We are a non-profit organization supported by this community. Local businesses and people donate funds and goods. We purchase at discount from Channel One and local stores to make sure our shelves are full. Volunteers serve to unload the delivery truck, stock the shelves, sort the produce, and carry out bags. Goodness and smiles all around. |
